The Ghost Ships of Mallows Bay

My sister visits me almost every Spring from the Midwest. We spend about a five days exploring or doing something we haven't done before.
A few years ago, I acquired an Old Towne that someone was throwing out (I know, crazy). So this year she said, she came across an article about Mallows Bay, just across the Potomac from Quantico. It described over 100 ships sunken in the bay. Of course we decided to make the 2 hour drive down the beltway and the interstate, canoe strapped to the roof to see what it was all about. Long story short, the eerily quiet bay made for a beautiful and interesting day of sight seeing that we could've never seen from the shore. The wildlife we saw was amazing as well. Pictures don't do it justice and it was most certainly an experience to remember.
Having the canoe to make this trip brought a little bit of my Midwest past out to the East Coast for us that day.
